Recently, it was learned from the Ningbo Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that in the first three quarters, 1494 batches of aquatic products imported from Ningbo Port and 141,200 tons were valued at 345 million US dollars, up 50.3%, 11.89% and 31.68% respectively.

From the perspective of imported aquatic products, the import of tuna is 33,300 tons, accounting for 23.58% of the total imports. Imports of frozen lobsters, Arctic sweet shrimps, squids, mussels and other frozen aquatic products continued to increase, and chilled products such as squid and squid were more abundant.

Since the beginning of this year, Ningbo Port has strengthened the construction of imported cold chain logistics, and added two cold chain inspection platforms in Beilun and Bonded Zones, and put them into use. The supporting cold chain storage capacity is nearly 250,000 tons. At the same time, the port authorities such as inspection and quarantine further optimized the customs clearance process and shortened the customs clearance time by 60%, which effectively promoted the development of aquatic product trade.
